Definition of a Blog

Before I start sharing information, tips and tricks about Blogger and how to blog in Blogger.com, here's some of the definition in the internet on what blog is all about.

A blog is a personal diary. A daily pulpit. A collaborative space. A political soapbox. A breaking-news outlet. A collection of links. Your own private thoughts. Memos to the world.

A blog (a contraction of the term "web log") is a type of website, usually maintained by an individual with regular entries of commentary, descriptions of events, or other material such as graphics or video. Entries are commonly displayed in reverse-chronological order. "Blog" can also be used as a verb, meaning to maintain or add content to a blog.

Weblogs are unique in that only a weblog gives you a publication where your ideas can stand alone without interference. It gives the public writer a kind of relaxation not available in other forms.

A blog is basically a journal that is available on the web. The activity of updating a blog is "blogging" and someone who keeps a blog is a "blogger." Blogs are typically updated daily using software that allows people with little or no technical background to update and maintain the blog.

To make it understandable and simple, because other website, person or even in the blogosphere, they define blog in different meaning and terms. My definition will not fall into technical terms or even an objective point of view. Blog is an online journal that collaborates on what a blogger/s (writer or publisher) writes in his or her own way and perspective, with no restriction but with a moral responsibility to share the knowledge in the internet.
It may derive into different topics and ideas such as personal, professional, business, company blog, entertaining, advertising and so on, but a Blog is still your online piece of paper and pen in the World Wide Web. While a blogger is the one who writes in a blog that can be a person or group/s.
